Student Intern Team
The CCM Student Intern Team does all the behind-the-scenes heavy lifting for our ministry: planning fun social events and service opportunities for students, organizing room reservations, running the social media, helping oversee liturgies and train ministers, running our men’s and women’s groups and assisting our staff with anything they can! If you see one of these smiling faces around campus, say hello!
Communications Intern - Rachel Heggie
Role: Oversees communications intern team, running all social media platforms, marketing and outreach through those platforms.
Bio: Hi there! My name is Rachel Heggie. I am a Sophomore majoring in Statistics with a Minor in Data Science in Business. I am from Huntersville, North Carolina. I love to play and watch sports in my free time. So much so that I made it to the final round of being NC State's Mascot Ms. Wuf!
Communications Intern- Valeria Cancel
Bio: Hey everyone! My name is Valeria Cancel, I’m a Sophomore and I'm on the Communications team! I'm so excited to be helping out with CCM and truly am blessed to be a part of this ministry! I also help out with cooking before Wolfpack Worship night every Wednesday, if you want to help, definitely come around! In my free time, I love to cook and try baking new recipes and reading. I enjoy weightlifting and learning more about my faith and the Catholic church!

Liturgy Intern- Nathan Wurst
Role: Responsible for coordinating Mass logistics.
Bio: Hello! My name is Nathan, and I am honored to be serving as the liturgical intern for 2026. I am a convert to the faith and was confirmed on the Easter vigil of 2024, with my confirmation Saint being St. Jude! My favorite thing to do in my free time is to hang out with friends doing any type of activity (whether that’s watching a movie, playing video games, or just hanging out with each other, friends make everything better!). Social Events Intern- Adriana HAsselbach
Role: Serves as coordinator for social events and community culture
Bio: Hey everyone! My name is Adriana Hasselbach, and I am so excited to be serving as one of the new Social Events Interns!! In the future, I hope to become a Wedding Planner and open a retreat center!! I love planning any type of event, painting event banners, going on runs at Lake Johnson, all things Disney, going to Hurricanes games, and spending time with my family (especially my cousins) and my dog Luna! I always have the best time hanging out at the Doggett Center and with the CCM community, and I am so excited to give back to the community that has given me so much!

Fun Fact: My family and I love scuba diving together, and the last time we dove together was in the Finding Nemo Aquarium in Epcot down in Walt Disney World(That's the second largest aquarium in the US)!!
Esto Vir Leader - Ben Meinert
Role: Serves on leadership for the Esto Vir Men’s Group planning meetings, retreats and events.

FIAT Leader - Gretchen Coe
Role: Serves as co-leader and helps organize the Fiat, CCM Women’s Ministry meetings, retreats, and events
Bio: Hi everyone! I am so excited to be a co-leader of Fiat this year! CCM has played a very transformative role over my 4 years at NC State and so it is a blessing for me to give back to the ministry that I love so much. I feel overjoyed to help our community grow where women can deepen their relationships with Christ and each other. You can always find me at the Doggett Center hanging out when I am not in class or working at my clinic. I am looking forward to meeting y'all and please reach out if you have any ideas for Fiat!

Bio: Hi everybody! My name is Anna Hutchins, and I am from Charlotte, NC! I am a junior majoring in social work. A few facts about me are I love playing tennis and pickleball, getting coffee with friends, and I am a huge fan of the Lego Batman Movie! One fun fact about me is that I love playing music trivia!
Service Intern -Brendan Lewis
Role: Serves as coordinator for service projects and community outreach events
Bio: Hello! My name is Brendan Lewis! I will be the Service Intern for this semester! I grew up in a big household of 9, with parents who raised me within the Catholic faith. CCM has given me and others so much, so I would love to give back to the community! I want to keep in mind James 2:24, which states: "See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." Community service is a pillar of our Catholic faith!

Bio: Hey y’all—my name is Yzabella, but you can call me Belle! I’m very excited to help serve as a social events coordinator here at CCM. I plan to bring fun and memorable events to the ministry, and can’t wait to give back to the community in this way. Ever since joining the CCM family, I’ve never felt so much joy and love from the Lord, and want to help bring that same experience to others! I’m a recent transfer to NC State, so I’m eager to meet all of you and make connections with everyone. Bio: Hi, my name is Blake Miller and I am the president of Esto Vir, our men’s group at CCM. I currently study mechanical engineering and I hail from the good ole “336” (Greensboro, NC). I am currently 494 elo on Chess.com (10min), my favorite food is free food. Christ is King!”
FIAT Leader - Carolina Barcenas
Role: Serves as co-leader and helps organize the Fiat, CCM Women’s Ministry meetings, retreats, and events
Bio: Hey guys!!! I’m so happy to be serving the CCM community as the co-coordinator of Fiat this year! It is amazing to see how big our ministry has grown, and I look forward to seeing all of the beautiful women at our meetings every Friday morning! Outside of CCM and when I'm not working on studio projects, I love to paint, try new coffee shops and hang out with my friends.
